Journey to Peace: Part-2

 When will the rain stop?

We couldn't leave India without seeing the wettest place in the world, where we can experience the monsoon climate and geography best.

Second stop: Mawsynram Village

  • A village in the state of Meghalaya. Although it is not the season of the aforementioned rains, it was quite difficult for us to come here, but it is a place that those who are in love with nature will definitely love. You accept this as soon as you get there.
  • We spent one night here. Even though it rained heavily, the sound inside the house was very low. We were curious and asked why. They did this by covering the roofs with grass.

  • As in the photo above, there are waterfalls.

  • Here, too, there is a special umbrella that the villagers use to protect themselves from the rain. We were very surprised when we first saw it, but it is a very useful product for the villagers. Because they can use both their hands while doing their work and they never get wet from the rain.

  • This is a shot from our monsoon forest trip.
